Joshua Bam

Joshua Bam is a native South African who immigrated to the United States in 1998. He attended school in Texas and Oklahoma before getting his J.D. at The Pennsylvania State University. After school, Josh began his career at the Center for the Study of Mergers and Acquisitions before transition into private practice in Seattle.

In Seattle, Washington Josh worked with boutique law firms on business and commercial transactions and with Stoel Rives on the Big Bertha tunnel case. Shortly after having kids, Josh and his family relocated to Tri-Cities, Washington to work with Gravis Law.

Josh has closed private equity deals through SAFEs, debt, and other instruments or debt instruments to help start-up raise funds under Reg D. He also helps buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions of companies and real estate.

Other focuses include commercial contracting, intellectual property licensing, equity incentive planning and nonprofit formation and maintenance. Josh also works with the WSLCB on cannabis law matters and restaurant and liquor licensing.

Josh likes to work as outside in-house counsel as part of a cross-functional team focused on industry best practices and out-of-the-box thinking to drive revenue. He has closed real estate deals, raised money for tech start-ups, helped form nonprofits, and more.

He also works in a wide range of industries, from real estate syndications to manufacturers, food brokers, high tech start-ups, adult family homes, business succession planning, and more.

Josh still has family in Texas but currently lives in Tri-Cities, Washington with his wife and two kids. He enjoys camping, taking his kids to local festivals, and riding his Harley Davidson. Josh is also active in his local community and believes in building trusted, long-term client relationships.
